Safer-At-Home
With the Safer-At-Home Order, we ask for your help with the following guidelines:
- In the office, family arrangements will need to be limited to only two people per client family.
- Preferably, if we can assist you by phone and email it would be much safer for all involved. Please request for us to assist you in this manner if possible.
- Graveside gatherings must be limited to a maximum of 10 people, which does include the cemetery staff, funeral directors, and burial vault service person.
- It has been a new requirement that we can’t have any chairs set up at the graveside either to allow for the 6’ diameter distancing measures needed to protect all of us.
National Cemetery Association Guidelines
The National Cemetery Administration has set much more strict guidelines to follow, but our hearts just cannot bear the thought of you not being present at your loved one’s burial. Let’s work together to keep everyone as safe as possible and stop this pandemic in its tracks.

Burial Vaults | Outer Burial Containers | Urn Vaults
The Outer Burial Container often called a concrete box meets the minimum requirement of our cemetery regulations for ground burials.
A rigid box made of concrete, this burial vault does not have any sealing qualities, special linings, or paint finishes and the two large diameter holes in the bottom allow for the drainage of groundwater from in and around the casket.
This rigid outer receptacle that houses the casket helps to protect the casket from the weight of the earth and heavy maintenance equipment that will pass over the grave. It also helps resist water and preserves the beauty of the cemetery or memorial park by preventing the ground from settling.
If you plan on ground burial for the cremation urn, Rolling Oaks requires it to be placed in a cremation urn burial vault. Lined urn burial vaults give urns varying levels of protection from subsoil elements and the weight of the earth and cemetery maintenance equipment.
